Code of Ethics
Judges follow rules and laws of ethics.
- Ethics in Public Service Act
- Office of Administrative Hearings Code of Ethics for Administrative Law Judges
OAH goes above the minimum requirements of the Ethics in Public Service Act. OAH has its own Code of Ethics. It makes sure that judges meet the standard of fairness that the public expects. OAH holds its judges to an even higher standard of ethics than the minimum.
Ethics Advisory Committee
The Chief Administrative Law Judge chartered an Ethics Advisory Committee to ensure OAH establishes and maintains high ethical standards consistent with its core mission. Our Code of Ethics requires the highest standards of ethical conduct for ALJs. OAH’s role is to maintain highest professional standards institutionally. The Ethics Advisory Committee is a standing committee dedicated to developing and delivering ethics training, resources and information to guide OAH employees in upholding the OAH Code of Ethics.
