How does the judge decide my case?
The judge will take time to review the information presented at the hearing. The judge must follow the law when making a decision. A judge cannot change or ignore a rule or law.
When will I get a decision?
The judge will tell you at the hearing when you will receive the written decision. The judge will not usually make a decision at the hearing. If the judge has asked for additional documents, it may take longer.
What if I disagree with the decision?
If you disagree with the judge’s decision you have the right to appeal. There will be instructions on how to appeal with the written decision. Be sure to follow the instructions. There are strict deadlines and requirements.
